The Wind Has Gone

The Wind Has Gone

A Poem by Donna G. Cooper
"

This is a poem I wrote when I was in elementary school. It just kinda always stuck with me.

"

Gone with the wind

as the wind has gone

sharp shallow night has come

birds have disappeared in the mist of wind

the sun has gallopped out of sight

and the moon comes to seek destiny

as we seek night

Few words, big meaning .. 'sharp shallow night has come' - 'and the moon comes to seek destiny -two beautiful phrases.

I can see why it has. Short but full of meaning. I especially like " as the moon comes to seek destiny...". Thank you for sharing
