I see the booze
I see the tattoos
I see your bad attitude

You think you are cool
but you look like a fool
I'm not trying to be cruel

I tell you this because
I care about you and I know
what your going through

I was always afraid
that you would make the
same mistakes I made
I just prayed

If you don't change your
lifestyle, your going to end
up in a cell
and trust me, that is hell

I don't want to see you go to jail
I don't have enough for bail
All I can do is send you a letter
by mail

I will help you get your life right
without a fight
So you can have a future that is bright.

Too many don't get it... they don't understand being responsible for their "choices". Seems life "happens" around them - to them - but they didn't DO anything (in their minds).

Its hard when you see them doing what you did when you were there age and you know where there headed, but they do it there own way. They will regret it later when the have a criminal record forever! Thanks for the review.

Great writing! I love the part where you wrote with empathy and support for the person who is struggling. It's painful to see others suffer and not be able to get them to help themselves but all you can do is try and know you did your best.
