  Why are you here?

What do you want?

    You have taken most of my family away.

             Tell me why?

Why cant we stop you?

   How could you be so powerful?

         Nobody can stop you!

   I have prayed for you to go away.

      Please leave my loved ones alone.

            Now your back.

 You came to take my dog?

         I cant let you do that.

 I will fight you till the end.

   I hate you Cancer!

This is a wonderfully angry poem Donna. There are lots of poems and stories about people bearing their illness and losses quietly and bravely but you have captured the mood that many others would feel facing up to cancer affecting their loved ones. Wonderfully vivid.

It is a hard fight having to deal with the loss of someone but to lose them to cancer is a sad thing.. I am filled with sorrow for the thought of losing a loved one or pet to this disease... Thank you for sharing

I love the idea and the twist, however I think you could show that it's cancer in a different way. Maybe talk about the symptoms and such, to hint to cancer. Other than that I love it!
