Summer Time

Fun things to do during the summer!

Summer time is so much fun,

picnics, BBQ's, parties.

The birds are singing,

flowers blooming so pretty.

Hearing the kids playing & laughing.

Going to the beach, playing in the sand.

Watering my garden, watching it grow.

Sleep-overs, camping trips, vacations.

Staying up late, playing games,

going for a ride in the car,

taking the dog to the park.

Going to an outdoor concert.

Eating watermelon outside.

Spending time with family & friends,

enjoying this wonderful life.

That's what I like about summer time.

I love Summer too. Grandchildren can escape to outside and we can go to the lakes. Spring and Summer. The day of fun for the family. Thank you Donna for sharing the amazing poetry for Summer.

We don't get great summers here in the UK, but at the moment we have had some really fine days in June. What a difference it makes. The mood changes. There is a lightness in voices, a quickness of step, and people make the most and get outside to enjoy family activities. All the stuff you mentioned is wonderful, bbq's, walking in the park, a trip to the seaside. Hoping our fine spell continues. Forecasters say we are in for a fine three months. Not hot, but fine. That will do me nicely. I so enjoyed your uplifting poem Donna.

Ah..Summer time is actually great..And it seems that you like summer a lot...By the way , if i should talk about your writing style i felt that you wrote it for leisure and if you actually want something constructive then i felt that you can become a great writer if you keep on improving your writings..Adding something poetical , rhyming can help it...I am eager to read more of your writings...
