Sonnet: A Sunny Day At The Beach (1)A Poem by Stu. T.H.Don't get your hopes up too high . . .
I remembered it as a sunny day out,
When wind shared a tryst with sea and clouds, Without so much as a thought, my heart went South, Though like the dangling fruits, it has weight untowed, And though it was just over noon, The moon has gone over heads, up so high, It seemed my break was gonna be over soon, Such was a harsh standard to live by, Tired, but I dared not whisper to the wind, She was already occupied with her lovers, as I remarked, Under tropical shades, I sat in a position loners would find much akin, Loveless, and disappointed, my poetic mind has failed to find new sparks, So I wished myself to be left alone by the sand, Watching the scenery changes without any thoughts or plans. - Stu.
