Opening a Season

Inspired (again) by the Bridgerton novel series. Again, I haven't finished the film nor any novels, please don't spoil it for me!

A season sails,
When wisdom has casted the charms,
One might derail,
Hopefully no such occurences raise alarms,

For despite the vigorous opening of the banter,
One can't help but find this a funny manner,

Ridicule me, and ridicule thee,
At the season's end, who would be left?
Pitiful me, more so pitiful thee,
Even prestigious materials could be ignored by the chefs.

Author's Note

*In context: A "Season" here refers to the social season, when the debutantes are presented in society and make their first attempts at finding a husband. The ladies are expected to make their debuts once they have turned eighteen.

It's a poem of pictures, colorful, The last two lines are highly philosophical and a great read for me today. The first line is creative and imaginative lice a picture in a canvas or film roll with music. Good work 👍
