Some Kind of Sweetness

Some kind of sweetness

not unlike honey

wraps around my throat

and suffocates my words

it is a kind of sweetness

as it has the sweetest taste

of knowing

that here you can do nothing

but in my heart

the sweet turns to bitter

and I realize

that although in my head

you have no kind of power

in my heart you have it all
