Ode to Spring

The skies are blue, the day is new

The sun is dancing above;

The winter frost is blown and lost

And spring’s come with life and love!

 

The ice has cracked, and no stream lacks

Rushing waters clear

The flowers bloom out of the gloom

With spring there's nothing to fear!

I think this is rather unfinished because there's so much more to spring than just that... I might add some more later...

I would eliminate "The" in each of the lines... a distraction... to the write... example:

Skies are blue, day is new
Sun is dancing above;
Winter frost is blown and lost
And Spring’s come with life and love!

Ice has cracked, and no stream lacks
Rushing waters clear
Flowers bloom out of the gloom
With Spring there's nothing to fear!

Which then leaves more room for the unfinish verse... if you are going to add on... and the flow is really more established... with this write...
