Prompt: Anything that mends is but patch'd.

When part of you is torn away can it really leave no scar?  

Maybe one no one can see but you.  

Will you ever forget?  

Can you leave that pain behind?  

But might you forget, without a reminder will you lose what you've gained?  

And then do it again?  

Scars might not be pretty but don’t you cling to that truth?  

So you can be sure it won’t happen again, that now you’re safe.  

And if that scar fades what will keep the past from passing again?

What is left to hold onto?  

Let the pain stay behind but keep something to remind yourself of what you have to lose.

oH! Yeah! been there done that! sometimes it comes back again and bites hard but goes away quickly......Well said
