In Arms

I wrote this in summer school after the 10th grade. We were supposed to write a review on a professionally written poem. The teacher let me write my own. She loved it!

In the arms of the sky
With life surrounding
Your pictures are real
Facing forward in your dreams

In the arms of the world
With death surrounding
Your pictures are broken
upside down in your dreams

In the arms of ignorance
With dysfunction surrounding
Your pictures unknown
Lost in your dreams

In the arms of nothing
With darkness surrounding
Your pictures invisible
Blind in your dreams

In the arms of Hell
With fire surrounding
Your pictures nonexistent
Gone from your dreams
