Old Man Winter

Old Man Winter

A Poem by Cerebriation
"

Let's just say, I'm glad spring is finally showing its face.....

"
I see
Deep shadows and brilliant highlights
Just after the storm
The way the sky lights
Just after the rain
All the colors, like I like

On the crest of the valley

Old Man Winter
Shall come juxtaposed
How hard will he bite
Only he knows
But as winter subsides
And the old man dies
The colors will fade
Leaves again bring the shade
That shelter the heat
For the coming dog days

As the heat swaggers in
It will boil with sin
And the sweat will begin
To leave from within
And cool us again
But remember my friend
The summer will end
Fall will come
And a hand he will lend
To the old man winter
So he can bite us again....
