Basement Door

Basement Door

A Poem by Cerebriation

Rap, rap, rap on the basement door.
I want to be what most abhor.
The lust destroys me.  Give me more.
Snakes won't bite like they did before.
Tap, tap, tap on the window pane.
Let go of what keeps me sane.
This life destroys me.  It is my bane.
Hold the wheel.  I can't keep my lane.
Reap, reap reap what you sowed before
For rapping on the basement door.
You are what you most abhor.
The snakes destroyed you with their lore.
