First Love

This is a very old poem, and my most "famous" one to date with over 27,000 notes on Tumblr.

I was many things to you.

A good morning text

that was the same everyday. 

A kiss on the lips

that deepened itself over time. 

An intoxicated

phone call at 2 am.

A minor chapter that will

surely be forgotten once

the next one comes along

and gives you something

new to remember.

But for me

you were the

example of

how I will 

feel about

everyone

I ever meet.

It is sad we must learn the bad lesson and learn to go slow and easy into love. Real love don't rush. Need time to grow and become solid. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry for the emotion of love and need.
