Pegasus Speaks

Pegasus Speaks

A Poem by David Scott
"

A blended thought of Pegasus speaking as a lover.

"
You first saw me,
hidden in the fading light.
I was injured,
prancing and pawing,
proud, untamed, defiant.

You saw a magic in me.
One of a kind,
only to those who would see.

You knew I had vision,
you caught a shadowed glimpse,
thinking I had transformed,
to eagle's majesty.

You dared to dream,
to sit your magnificent steed.
We would know the charted lands,
held in the map of your imagination.

I would give you more,
the very wings of angels,
as we mount the heavens,
where imagination is reborn.

Together, untamed, unbridled,
we fly desires met,
beyond mortal dreams of magic,
entwined within immortality.

'We would know the charted lands, .. held in the map of your imagination.' What a wonderful thought!

Being able to string a few letters together then fly and fly into rapturous flight is. - positively and wonderfully decadent! To feel such a stream of emotions is wonderfully wonderful, in fact there are phrases herein that make immortality a possibility.

Excellent idea delivered well! I often read another poet's work and think, "I wish I'd thought of that". This is one of those.

Nothing wrong with that. It produces wonderful works...You are welcome...:).................
I envision a place of solace...where imagination is free to roam "untamed",
and dreams are embraced..

What captivates me the most is the transformation that takes place, when a fading soul is reborn once again...
The metamorphosis of immortality is a beautiful thing to witness!

Thank you for spreading your wings, penning through Pegasus's thoughts...Nice!
A Unique write~xoxo~:)
