Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving

A Poem by David Scott
"

Simple introspective take on Thanksgiving.

"
Gratitude

A wanderer finds a path ~
actually, maybe he was led
to said path.

Gratitude

A guide joins his solitude ~
rather, his solace
 welcomed a guide.

Gratitude

"Alone" is an illusion~
expectations block consciousness
birthing disillusion.

Gratitude

Intention's compass is not "true north ~
integrity bubbles a spring,
ocean bound.

Gratitude

Aligned ~
attuned and ethereal;
content to be.

This poem is so serene. Filled with a feeling of the writer being grounded and content. Happy for what he has and knowing he is in the place he belongs. Wonderful work. Lydi**

I find my gratitude living next to 57,000 plus men who never returned from Vietnam.

"content to be"

expectations do birth disillusion....some go through life on a narrow path of expectations, never grateful for what they actually have...what did sheryl crow sing.."it's not having what you want, it's needing what you've got" or something similar to that...

love the actually, rather, and the way you used them in the theme.
