Enlightened

Enlightened

A Poem by David Scott

Just a thought or inspiration.

Enlightened

How darkly
doth thy pen enlighten,
pon this soul ink stained ~
white on night.

Whence comes
delight of painless bleeding,
bliss bathes a thick abyss ~
sealed wax upon cold kiss.

Transparent quest
earned knowing levitates,
weighted words now lifting ~
consciousness to flight.

I feel schooled David...my goodness. You have such incredible depth and so few words. You have crafted beautifully. Crying Kate helped me to see even more depth, but on my own, I just found myself taken away by the words. It flowed so smoothly I read it over and over, not just because it flowed but because the words meant something to me...'weighted words now lifting', what was once heavy on the mind, disappears, and allows one to rise. i hope i haven't misinterpreted anything...nonetheless, thank you sooo much for sharing!!

I'm so glad. The Spirit leads...
I liked it David.. Although I read the comments after I read it two or three times. I was glad to see I did indeed catch it. I thought perhaps I might not of caught it all because of the line "sealed wax upon cold kiss"
But yes even that afterwards was all fitting.
When we write, we are able to examine everything with a third eye and we can more clearly see.
Here the View is from a healing perspective as we look upon old past hurts/pain and see how silly it was.
Here in the healing of expression with words we see how dark things (un-necessarily things) were from the perspective of a cold dark abyss of negative dark thoughts, but now the written words=sealed wax like unto (a sealed wax finished letter) transmutes the dark thoughts into freedom from oppression and into a new flight of light/joy/happiness
I love the thoughts here and love how with little words, you spoke much truth.
Your really a joy to read David and Your communication of transformation is a treasure for others to lean on.
You were meant to write it David. Meant to share, meant to guide others from the dark and into the light.

Brought me back to reading "Canterbury Tales"! I think it is about someone dying....getting cold and then feeling nothing and flying off to a netherworld. Sort of eerie....but certainly unique, David. Lydi**

I really like that line "soul ink stained" It is true how the words that come from within us are pieces of ourselves released to paper. I know for me, that I do feel later when they come out....

Thank you island child. 😉. You are kind with your reviews.
I really like the old school wording and the imagery the write produced. Very thoughtfully crafted and I really liked the lines "Whence comes
delight of painless bleeding,
bliss bathes a thick abyss ~
sealed wax upon cold kiss. " Its powerful! Thanks for sharing this piece. Keep up the good work!
