David, i really like this piece...i have had several female friends, strictly platonic relationships but in more ways than not, much more intimate than any physical relationships...
really good write...a tribute to all of our really close friends.

Thank you for your comment Jacob. I knew you would understand this one.
brilliant imagery that makes one ponder about realationships and what one
actually seeks in their search for a connection with others.
and end up learning about one's self in the end.
indeed very intriguing...this one i can truly relate to since my current ex. was my best friend for seven? years till one day we kissed *first i was like, "oh no" but i felt it would a perfect situation
*he actually inspired me to write* -- forever grateful to him for that..but alas after 18 years...circumstances and his true colors *i'm sure even mine* shone through and what i feel would /could of been an awesome friendship till this day...just made deep laceration in heart *s*
i apologize for over personalizing this amazing ink...
looking forward to 're visiting your poetry. happy writings

These questions are posed on individual experiences and must be considered/resolved on a personal basis as well. I am happy to see you gave your personal response. This is how I read and write as well.
Thank you for your comments.
A rare thing platonic love, the best friendship going around and lucky if you have one! How a platonic love could turn real and your friend doesn't know it!. A intriguing write to ponder on David

you are welcome. real friends are hard to come by and take time to grow!
In a perfect world, we would all have such a friend. Not easy to find, but makes as profound an impact as the yin yang relationship, or family of origin.
This is so deeply written, I feel like you put a lot of yourself into the words. Thoughtful and philosophical and beautiful.

Honestly, this is how I make friends in general... I am affectionate and intimate. This is who I am.
Obviously, I don't want to have sex (in fantasy or reality), with all my friends...
It seems hard for people to fathom.
Anyhow, venting now. Ha.
Thank you again for reading.
It is a tricky place to tread when lines are blurred, but you draw a very caring view of good friends. Well done.

Thank you for the comment Will.
There's amazing logic here; true and kind logic. Tis sad that society is apt to see the sordid, the dirty; just can't consider that whichever our gender, we're just drawn to like.minded people and that... that is it. No romping, no this or that, just good old.fashioned things in common. Friendship. ' kindness shared by considerate minds ' You've voiced this so well, poetically yes, but with eyes and mind open wide. Thank you.
This is a very calming view within a society that seems to set so much importance on romantic relationships. It is nice to see friendship celebrated like this.
