JadeA Poem by Zoie PainJade
She should be so ashamed for all the things she's done Her dirty knees tell all her dirty deeds she walks the street her nose stuck up but never looking up She's got years of abuse and misuse stacked against her heart she wears her pain as scars on her arms for no one but the whole world to see She's confused this sex for love another man in her bed just another John for the book taking their money at the door Poor little girl In skimpy clothes she things she's cute but no one wants the town w***e at Sunday dinner with mom dancing under red lights sweating on motel sheets Once I called her friend before all the drugs and broken hearts before life got too fast and our paths took a different turn Before I ran off to get a new start and she fell off her rocker skipping town for a strange man Somewhere deep down I will hold her remember my little shadow and the one she use to be before we became just another fading memory © 2009 Zoie Pain |
