Testimonial of a SupernovaA Poem by Breezie KaeWritten during sophomore year.
Here we are, count the stars, even they collide from far away, out into the distance. Count for something, count for none, call it endless, call it done. You see these stars die every day. But can you feel the twilight of everything that’s hopeless? I want to feel your arms but I just can’t reach far enough. Can you give up on a dream when it’s all that you can see? I want to know, are you worth it? Can you give up on the night when you’ve never seen the light, and these stars are the brightest things you’ve ever seen? Can you give up on the scene of beautiful catastrophe? I want to feel, are you even there? Your eyes are warm, warm enough for daydreams, and you’re the center of my storm. You’ll pass just as quickly. Here I am in empty space, feel my eyes fade over. You’re not quite close enough for comfort. Falling down and falling up, stand around, I’ve had enough. Silver’s not as sweet anymore. Feed me pain and feed me bliss. Feed me knowledge and ignorance. Maybe I won’t feel a thing anymore, but your eyes are warm Your eyes are warm, warm enough for daydreams, and you’re the center of my storm. You’ll pass just as quickly. Your eyes are warm, warm enough for daydreams, and you’re the center of my storm. You’ll pass just as quickly. Here we are, count the stars, even they collide from far away, out into the distance. © 2010 Breezie KaeReviews
