Dreams are for the Do-ers

Dreams are for the Do-ers

A Poem by Breezie Kae

I feel like poetry losing its verse.
I feel like an activist with nothing to converse.
I feel like a lie in my own fantasy.

I don't live for anything real.
It's exciting just to stare at a screen
and wish that I lived that life.

I wish I could fly into the stars.
I wish I could sing a beautiful song.
I wish I could keep up with my own rhyme.

Yet I'm caught up in this free verse.
This verse without a motive.
This verse without a future,

because I can only dream,
and I can never be.
I can only dream.
