Forever

Lessons learnt

Try to burn the thoughts away
The flames never burn as deep as I like
Smoke from the damp ashes
Dancing away in the night sky
and all the roads
lead away from you
forever

The sky had changed for a time
Colours seeped in through the grey
edges of my soul
I believed for once
That we had a chance
to hold on to something
forever

Million choices lie ahead
Not a single regret behind
I may be broken now
But nothing lasts
forever
