Remember

We can't move forward without remembering where we came from.

my heads held high,
eyes never looking back
my futures here and waiting
yet still there's something that I lack

it's something about the past
that makes us who we are
even though its right to move forward
it's hard to go very far

without love and life's lessons
and the people who made them so
I hope and pray I remember to remember
before its my time to go
