Santa Fe

Santa Fe

A Poem by getinthecarplease

Sangre de Cristo dawnlight
splashing over adobe homes
like a golden falcon
tracing my valley roams.
Sanguine sanctuary, my everlasting play
in the morning - in Santa Fe.

Sandra in pueblo patterns
swanning about the plaza path
between every shattered sunbeam
toward the goldfinch bath.
Sacred symphonies, the ponderosas sway
in the afternoon - in Santa Fe.

Sandhill cranes on summer air
gliding through faded skies
where turquoise turns to indigo
and starry canopies arise.
Saturnine sunsets, the coyotes bay
in the evening - in Santa Fe

Sangre de Cristo moonlight
sweeping over mission spires
like a pearly sparrow
watching my dying fires.
Sandswept serenade, my everlasting play
in the night - in Santa Fe.
