"

Lovers problem

"

HAS ANYBODY SEEN MY GIRL ?

She was here a little while ago
What mysterious force suppose
Brings couples to the brink
Disaster rides the crest and lo
They never stay the course

Some say they have met another
Tell me is that true
What other replaces love and
Leaves man feeling blue

Awwww ! you have heard this old
Lament, how sad for you and I
To always seek someone to blame
When the well had just run dry

If I could only stem her tears
And maybe slow the hurt
Provide the thing that I don`t have
Only then I will not be dirt

Mother nature perhaps
Adjusts each loving couple
To make the future and their pride
Fit her soul, the future bride

The storm consuming her
Is not a hurricane, it`s only wind
As she will see as she nears the end
Of anguish and thoughts profane

Clouds will float on by
Her sweet cheeks will dry
The sun again will light her life
`Though mine shall wither and die

This is such a tender poem, I can sense the emotion of loss and heartbreak within your words...especially in this stanza,
"Some say they have met another
Tell me is that true
What other replaces love and
Leaves man feeling blue "
There is no greater heartbreak than the one you love being beyond your reach. Very well penned, it stirs the soul.

This is so sweet but at the same time so depressing. :)) I particularly loved the last stanza. It tugged my heart. Another great write from you. Keep on writing. ;)

Nope I have not seen your girl. I do hope you find her for this is a sad tale that you spin searching for when she is gone.

thought-provoking poem about the nature and impact of transitions.
the last lines are rather sad,
"Clouds will float on by
Her sweet cheeks will dry
The sun again will light her life
`Though mine shall wither and die"
