Cheated Death (Haiku)

I felt a great pain
Spreading from my heart
But I hid it well.

As the weeks passed by
And she came around more often
You drifted away

You just left me here
And the pain grew to a wave
Of hot agony

Now you know you have wronged
But this realization has
Come too late for me.

As of now I am
Forever out of your reach
I am too broken.

Under the weight of pain
I sunk into the darkness
And numbness of death

I am free of your
Cursed face and finally
Free of our heartbreak.
