Battle of the Damned

Nightly in the forest screams
a terror unbeknownst to man
pain and torment hearing brings
as sunlit eyes unleash the damned.

fire blazes from the ground
as willows whip and tear at flesh
and shattered light in fragments rain
cut deep for light to weep last breath
