winter? 3 lines?....right! ....
5-7-5 cadence, meter 
i don't think so!...blah!   

               -and-

table by brook swamped
consume fish, tail, heads, water
no soup for you!...Leave!

Hi Serah, Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. I lost my crayons so I can't draw between the lines or outside the lines for that matter. My rule book went missing and the dog ate my homework... Wait a second... I don't own a dog...but I have a pet mountain. Maybe it led me astray along the path. I have about 50 Haiku poems posted on poetry soup that perhaps measure up to proper standards. This one took on a life of its own. I hope the reading public will forgive me. Thanks again for commenting! Earl

~ hi earl... ~ i apologize for not saying hi in my previous reply... ~ and what a strange coincidence... i have never understood the concept of a line either... ~ plus (and the world plus is stolen from my poetry coach paul), my pet ceiling fan thinks that standards are too drab... they should not be adhered to... as you will eventually discover... (hopefully)... ~ you're very welcome... ~ p.s. i support your aspiration for forgiveness by strangers though i don't subscribe to the same view on most days of the week...
