Thick Heavy Angry Mud

Thick Heavy Angry Mud

A Poem by Earl Schumacker
"

Pretty as a picture

"

Thick Heavy Angry Mud

Light fluffy particles have no gravity to speak of
Floating in reverse, crystalline white, going up and out
Nearly invisible, the abundance comes in a sparkle
Against calm clouds, the sun turns them to rainbows
To cotton candy colored strand explosions
Pastel pink flamingos begin sojourning into Spring
Spin above the blue of heavens with feathers soft
Too numerous to count as their baby birds follow
West winds drift into tomorrow with them in tow
Now the world is clear in the light of days peace
Happy and care free, bordering on special
Snow will come soon to paradise island
Tranquility softer than leaves, lighter than air settles in
Will greet the land with a smile of crystalline white
We pray the baby chicks will be safe by then
