Jellypop Parade

Jellypop Parade

A Poem by Earl Schumacker
"

Babies, kittens, puppies and fun

Jellypop Parade

Jellypops burst in front of babies
Cherry red with purple passions
Fireworks kaleidoscopic surprises
Rise to the occasion of the smiles
Of pink cheeks and lips of angels
Exploding from grins and giggles
Into full fledged screams hysterical
Delighted at the sight of colors magic
As they ride away so gay most rapidly
On a stream of rainbow candy light
That takes them to the nearest star
Where chocolate melts inside the mouth
Not in the hands as is expected of such candy
Babies reach their destination safely
With guardians of puppies and kittens
Sitting not so quietly by their side
Though they too are newly born
Dogs and cats know exactly what to do
And come with a natural aptitude for fun
When playing with chew toys and strings
Babies being their favorite things of course
Red rubber balls come next in proper order
Playing with balloons can be so dangerous
With teeth and claws exposed by little ones
But for babies it is all good jolly fun
As they travel together to the other sun
