"My Demon" (W.I.P.)A Story by Eclipsethe story is of a girl seeing the supernaturalChapter 1 Iris’s eyes fluttered open to darkness and noise. Her body
lay sprawled on the ground, dazed, her breath shallow. She lifted her head
slowly, scanning the unfamiliar surroundings. The air was thick, heavy, charged
with something she couldn’t name. As she stumbled backward, her heel caught on
uneven stone, and she found herself at the edge of a crowd. The crowd pressed forward, their faces twisted with fury. At
the center stood a guillotine, its blade gleaming under a pale light. A boy -
no older than sixteen - knelt beneath it, trembling. Tears streaked his cheeks
as the mob screamed. “Betrayer!” “Murderer!” “Kill him!” Their voices were venom, dripping with hatred. The boy’s voice cracked as he pleaded, “Please, it wasn’t
me! I didn’t hurt anyone. You have to believe me!” His sobs shook his frail
body. “I don’t want to die. I’m still so young. Please… let me live.” The blade began to fall. A shrill alarm shattered the vision. Iris jolted upright in
her bed, gasping, clutching her head. Her phone glowed on the nightstand: 8:30
AM. “Ugh… my head hurts,” she muttered, dragging herself into
her morning routine. Clothes messy, hair tangled, she shuffled to the bathroom,
splashed water on her face, brushed her teeth, and gulped bitter coffee. The
jacket she threw over her shoulders felt heavier than usual, as though it
carried the weight of the dream. At school, she slipped into class late. “Iris? Present " you’re late again,” the teacher sighed. “If I wanted to be here early, I would’ve been,” she shot
back, sarcasm dripping. “This class is boring. But hey, I still need an
education.” Her friend Green leaned over. “Hey, want to hang out after
school again at the café?” “Sure,” Iris replied, trying to mask the unease gnawing at
her. But when she rose to hand in her assignment, the world
tilted. The guillotine. The boy. The eclipse swallowing the sun. His lips
moved, whispering something she couldn’t hear. Pain stabbed her skull, and she
collapsed. The teacher rushed over. “Iris what’s going on” The teacher
press the back of her hand against Iris’s forehead, “your got a headache come
on sit up” she Prop Iris up gently shifting her weight to steady Iris, The
teacher writes a note and give it to Iris “you should head home and get some
rest, and drink plenty of water” the Teacher said with a soft gentle voice
trying to put Iris at ease. Her house was silent when she returned. Too silent. Closing
the door, she froze. He was there. The boy from her dream. Standing in her living
room, searching, his eyes wide with urgency. He turned, smiled " and vanished. Her heart pounded. “Hey! Who’s there? This is my house, so I
suggest you get out now!” Silence answered. Grabbing a kitchen knife, she searched every room. Nothing.
Just her. Just shadows. She forced a breath, dropped her bag, and returned the knife
to its place. It was her imagination. Maybe. Evening at the café brought laughter and chatter. Her
friends leaned in, concerned. “Heard you got sent home early,” one said. “Yeah, we were
worried,” another added. Iris opened her mouth to explain " then froze. Across the
street, the boy stood. Smiling. Waving. “Hey… do you guys see that boy?” she stammered. “He is
smiling at me. It doesn’t feel right.” Her friends turned. “There’s no one there, Iris. You’re
seeing things.” But in the café window’s reflection, he was behind her. Not
sinister. Protective. His voice was urgent, deep. “You need to leave. Now.” “Why?” she whispered. “You’re not safe here. Someone dangerous is coming. You and
your friends must leave " to live.” Something inside her told her to trust him. “Let’s go back
to my place,” she said quickly. “No one’s home anyway.” They agreed, paid, and left. But Iris felt like something was behind her in the café, so
she turned back to look at the café hoping it was just her imagination, but her
eyes widen in fear, her blood ran cold. A monstrous shadow slipped inside. She watched, frozen, as
it swallowed someone whole. Someone who looked exactly like her. To everyone else, it was just a man pulling a trigger. A
girl shot in the head. But Iris knew better. But Iris didn’t want to, Iris wanted
to believe it was just in her head, but she couldn’t. The creature slowly turns
to face her, it’s eyes meeting Her’s, the Boy’s voice whispers into her ear with urgency “you need
to leave now RUN!” She wants to listen she wants to run, her body wouldn’t
listen to her, wouldn’t react, her body had shut down on her out of fear, then
she felt someone pull her, it was her friend Abby “hey Snap out of it, we need
to leave right now, come on”. she grab’s Iris’s hand and drag her along with the
rest of the friend group following as the rush to Her house, they slam the door
shut behind them. They feel a sense of relieved. “Man, that was close that, bae-man nearly shot us” Abby
said, but she stops herself from saying a word. Lucas quickly glance at Abby as if warning her about
something. Iris notice Abby’s behaviour but pretended not to. But was
also confused, she didn’t see any man, she saw a monster. “Do you guys have any clue what that thing was back there,
it definitely didn’t look human” she said with confusion in her voice doubting
what she saw. But both Abby and Lucas went silent for a moment their eye’s
looking at each other as if having a silently conversation with their eye’s. “You mean that man? I guess he didn’t act like a normal
person, I mean why shot someone?” Lucas asked, but the way he said it was as if
trying to figure something out without directing saying what he was after. “Yeah, your right, I must of just saw him as a monster due
to the fear and panic rushing through me, making me believe what I saw was
something else” Iris said as if believing it was just in her head. They all head the Iris’s living room and sat down and took a
moment to relax but Iris couldn’t, because she was seeing someone again, it was
that boy again, the one who was in her dreams and that was across the café. “Was it his voice I heard that told me to run?” she asked in
her mind, as she sees that boy sitting across from her in her living room, on an
empty seat facing her, as if reading her. His face was expressionless. In the corner Lucas and Abby are talking in silent “Abby, do you see it, it’s just sitting there” Lucas
whispers to Abby. “Just act like you don’t see it, we can’t deal with it while
she is around, we can’t afford any mistakes” Abby whispers urgently. Iris notices their strange whispers. “What are you talking about? Is it something important?”
Iris ask’s “We are just saying how lovely your home is Iris and that
you should bring us over more often” Abby says with a more smile, but her smile
not reaching her ears, her eyes keeping looking at something else. Iris left the living room and head to the kitchen to refill
her cup with fresh water, but the boy followed her. “You know there hiding something from you” the boy spoke to her;
it is looking at the doorway as if expecting her friend’s to be watching. She pretended not to her him, but she knew that at the same
time he wasn’t lying about what he said, they were hiding something. She took a deep breath and checked the time “what are they
hiding from me? Do they not trust me or something?” She was confused, why are here own friend’s hiding something
from her? She wanted an answer, she wanted the believe that her friend’s has their
reason, but it still hurt that they are hiding something from her. She glanced at the boy trying to distract her about her
friend’s and finally spoke to him “so who are you anyways, I know you can’t
just simply be my imagination, and why did you save me?” she asked the boy, but
he didn’t reply as he was still looking at the door way but he did make a
gesture He raised one finger and put it over his own lips as if
trying to say to her to be silent, she didn’t know why he was making this
gesture but decided to listen and didn’t speak. She approached the doorway to find her friends press against
the wall trying to hide while ear dropping on her and they got caught, she
spotted them. “What the hell, why the f**k are you ear dropping on me?
What do you think I got some secret to hide?” Iris asked while staring them in
the eyes. They were first surprised to be caught then looked at each
other then gave her a guilty look. “Sorry Iris we just wanted to know why you went to the
kitchen” Lucas said with a guilt in his voice. “Yeah, sorry Iris” Abby said while looking down at the
ground, but their tone of voice suggested they was doing something else. Iris’s eyes narrow for a moment before shrugging it off. “it’s okay, just don’t do it again, it’s creepy and a bit unsettling.” They both seemed relieved that she let them off the hook,
but their eye’s keeping glancing to something next to her, or someone. “So, do you two want a cup of water or something?” she offers. They both were caught off guard by the sudden offer, but
they accept the cup of water. As Iris went back to the living room the boy was gone again,
she was confused but grateful to have some peace again. Both Lucas and Abby looked around looking confused then
whispering to each other “it’s gone; we miss our chance” Lucas said to Abby. Iris heard them again but was confused on what they were
talking about. Chapter 2 Abby and Lucas went home for the day, and Iris headed to
bed, as she slept, she had the same dream as before but this time in came in
flashes, first the sun being block out by the moon, the executor cutting the
rope to the guillotine, the boy saying “I give my soul to whoever wants it, just save me from this pain.” Then a blinding flash engulfs the boy as the guillotine
nears his neck, then she wakes up in a cold sweat, heavy breathing, she looked
around it was the dead of night. She got out of bed and head down to the kitchen to grab a
cup of water, as she does she see the boy outside her window disappearing down
a alleyway, chasing something, something in her body was telling her to not
follow, that she isn’t safe, but she ignored that feeling and put on a jacket
and head outside and headed towards where that boy went. She saw the shadow of the boy fighting someone or something,
as she got close, she could see parts of angelic wings, but she couldn’t see
what it was coming from, she quickly hid behind a dumpster. She tried to peak at whatever is in front of her but
suddenly there was a bang against the dumpster making her quickly retreat
behind the dumpster then she heard two voices talking but she couldn’t
recognize the voices. “Why are you protecting her, you’re a disgrace to us” said a
black figure that couldn’t be seen properly due to the lighting “because she’s mine, there’s something about her, it isn’t
normal, I can’t let her die” another voice said, she peaked and saw the boy
from before that she kept seeing, but she didn’t know who they were talking
about. The boy glanced behind him seeing her hiding, but pretended
not to notice as he turns his attention back the figure “I’m going to end you. you put the demon name to shame” Suddenly the boy turned and grab her princess style and ran
off carrying her She was stunned and didn’t know how to react, but she knew
