I could

I could

A Poem by Ecneartia

I could kill you with my kindness
That's the name I gave my gun
I could play the role of victim
I could scream "What have you done?".

I could wear the mask of anger
I could burn you with my words
I could drag you in the darkness
I could give my demons swords.

I could swallow all my ego
I could beg of you to stay
I could act as if I'm heartless
I could paint my world in grey.

I could assemble my ambition
I could erase you from my mind
But my strongest ammunition
Is to remain loving and kind.

I could blame this fate of mine
And forget I hold the choice:
I can poison with pure silence
Those I could heal
With just my voice.

*Just because I could, doesn't mean I should*
