Yami no Gemu

Yami no Gemu

A Poem by Egao-onna

I stroll down the accursed place

That I must stay in

Swathed in the shade

Everything's just a little bit darker

Flipping the combination lock

Planning

Wishing for escape

Those who wish me ill will

Frequently abound here

How I long to tear their eyes out

So they cannot see my faults

How I long to stitch their mouths shut

So they cannot slander me with my wrongdoings

I sit down in the accursed place

That I must stay in

Cloaked in darkness

Everything's just a bit more lucid

Days pass

Each a monochrome of droll activity

The torment ceaselesly continues

Until I reach my breaking point

My fingers scrabble about

My eyes roll about in my head

A grin appears

A smile, ear-to-ear

I stand over them,

They who have hurt me

It's my turn to hurt them now

It is I who play the Darkness Game

My eyes shadowed by falling hair

I tear them apart through my tears

As they scream for mercy

I finally have my victory

As they are contorted,

Arms bent vertically midway from the elbow

Knees bent in the other direction

I press on, not content until their demise

Laughing all the while

Covered in blood,

Splattered in gore,

Everything's just a little bit darker

The deed is done

Justice has been delt

I sit down in the accursed place

That I must stay in

Everything's just a little bit darker

The walls painted red

The carpet littered with human remains

I'm finally free from those who oppress me

I have taken from them that which they cherish most

Their death was not horrible

Their life was horrible

Is is I who play the Darkness Game
