The Next LifeA Poem by El Cu CuyI was listening to Tool at the time...meh.
The door that I opened was full of light,
ever so pale, it pierces me so bright. My darkness swirls round me like a coiling snake, As the light breaks apart, my body starts to shake. My soul unfurls like a windy sail, I grow colder as I let loose a wail. The light sneaks in, and starts to take hold, My heart starts to sing as I begin to unfold. The cracks in the wall seem to shrink, as I wake with a start, I sigh with a blink. Just another life, so crazy and wild, I roll on my side and bawl like a child. © 2010 El Cu Cuy |
