Bent and Broken

Towards the EARTH in all its glory,
I bend my head to LISTEN poorly.
And with the READING by the living-
I write this BOOK for giving.

All THINGS of knowledge wait
Within tattered PAGES of the human race.
Still our EYES skim over quickly,
And we’re left PEEKED before we’re ready.

In the end we’ll be ETERNAL,
We’ll be REITERATED and sorrowful.

I love the first part of this. Nice writing. Especially the "I write this book for the giving" part. It reads like a song. :)

What Im taking away from this well written poem is that we don't learn from our mistakes.

"Towards the EARTH in all its glory,
I bend my head to LISTEN poorly." ...we don't want to learn? don't want to listen?

I love the begining and think is beautiful!
And I agree the "we're left PEEKED before we're ready", almost all the time!
But why should we be "sorrowful"? I suppose most of us do our best!
