You Matter

You Matter

A Poem by Eliza Williams
"

Sometime in life we get stuck in a rut

"

You look into the mirror and see yourself,

You are ashamed. Disgusted

Horrified at the person you are:

You are shy, awkward

You annoy people

You don’t have many friends

You have a horrible smile and dull eyes

You aren’t toned enough

You aren’t appealing. Attractive

You fade into the background,

A wallflower.

You don’t matter.

But I don’t see that

I see an amazing person

I see sarcasm, humour

I see a gorgeous smile and beautiful eyes

I see a stunning figure

I see beauty, grace

I see someone who stands out

Potential

I see someone who matters.
