Moons of Fate

Moons of Fate

A Poem by Elizabeth Porterfield

Crescent Moons

On the Skin

Pouring Crimson

From within

Anger flowing

Slow and Hot

They try to make me

What I'm Not

Cause in Their minds

That's all I am

A Backstabber

So calm, then WHAM!

The Knife is there

Plunged oh so deep

And how it makes me

Want to Weep

Because it's not They

Who will die

It's Me, yes Me

Myself and I

I'm waiting now

On Crimson wings

To finally hear

The angels Sing

Its so sad. Even as I see where this comes from you must learn to forgive those who betray. Once you're gone the will see what they have lost so it doesn't seem right to dwell on that pain.

Thanks, and I know I know. It's just so f*****g hard to let go sometimes.
Thoughtful rhyme and many meanings. I like this, but I seem to want to think too much into it.

I think the title is very fitting.. I liked it. You're 16 right, if you feel comfortable answering what makes you write on a topic like this? It's beautifully written and I enjoyed the writing structure/style very much it even flowed well and granted good imagery. I'm just curious what inspires such content coming from a fun loving girl as yourself.
