The Music of Me

The Music of Me

A Poem by Elizabeth Porterfield
"

How strongly I feel about music...

"

Fighting a losing battle

With myself

Cause the musics taking over

My head

Drowining in my esscence

As it pours through the notes

The erratic pulsing

Choking out my heartbeat

Blinding me to the rest of the world

Till I know nothing else

How else can I describe

This overwhelming sensation

A whirlpool of self destruction

So beautiful

Yet so dangerous

Haunting me

With every breath I breath

As I become nothing more

Than Melody, Harmony, Symphony

Rythym, Rhyme

Bass and Time
