Summer LoveA Poem by I Am Svetlana
It is night.
Lay me down. Let me drown in my bed. Fall in love again with the summer heat. I never dreamed it would be this way. Just the summer and I. I used to hate it, But now I can't seem to get enough. Late nights making shadows in the street. Staring wide-eyed at the bedroom ceiling. Sometimes counting sheep. And yet, they seem to fall asleep before I do. I guess this would be Summer love. © 2012 I Am Svetlana |
