A New Story

Write me a new story.
One that' I'll remember.
Where the sun rose high
And the nights were darker than dark.
I miss those days
And how I used to be.
But lately,
I'm writing my wishes down on paper.
Just waiting for something new.
Someone new to come along and greet me.
A new challenge for me to face.
I guess I just hope for my written words to come true.
Though no one will know
But I wish it every time  I write.
My words will set me free
And a new story will begin for me.
When the time is right.
