Life of a WriterA Poem by I Am SvetlanaHere I am, awake and writing. As night is nearly half over. It's nice and dark outside. Street lamps on. Roads deserted. But I know people are awake.
I don't want to waste my life away During the night. Just sitting here. Writing at the table. What kind of life is that?
I'd say: It's the life of a writer. The observer. The believer who sees those unseen things. That others can't bring themselves to.
The life of a writer. That's the life I live.
Staying up late at night. Writing on and on until my hand hurts. Until no words can reach the page.
That's when it is time To turn the lights out. © 2012 I Am SvetlanaReviews
