Library HourA Poem by I Am Svetlana
The library.
A quiet place. The perfect habitat for students and bookworms alike. But this poem is about a boy. Not the library. A simple boy, sitting at a computer. White headphones shoved into his ears. Shutting out the world to focus on Homework. All until She walked in. Catching his eye as She passed. He gazed at Her with his stone-like eyes. Admiring such a creation. As She passed, She noticed him staring. Inside, Her heart glowed. This 'no one' of a boy admired Her. As She thought Herself ugly from within. Awhile later, She had noticed he re-located To a seat closer to Hers. As She continued away at Her work, She could catch a glimpse of him from the corner of Her eye. Perhaps he decided to move because Maybe he wanted a better, more accurate look at Her. It was all a possibility. Yet, She noticed he could still focus on his work all the same. Though She pretended not to notice, She caught him looking every now and again. Maybe one day, She'll know his name. Or maybe not. Funny, how a simple nobody, a stranger Could make Her heart glow. Or simply, Make Her smile. She's didn't know how he did it. That simple moment had made Her Feel special, even important for once. It had made her feel worthy. Soon after a good hour, This boy departed the library. Leaving Her to her work, Perhaps to make Her wonder about him. Other than that hour, Perhaps, She'll see him around. © 2013 I Am SvetlanaAuthor's Note
