Miles High

Miles High

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

Miles high.
Wishing to die.
Closed my eyes.
Refusing to cry.
Hoping to dry
That terrible lie.

Miles high.
Hoping to fly.
Closing my eyes.
Asking "why?"
Producing a soft sigh.
I began to cry.

Miles high.
I began to die.
Never asked why.
Silent sigh.
Don't cry.
One day, we could both fly.

I always enjoy reading mono-rhymes. Your first verse inspire me to write the following tiny poem which you may have as a gift: It has /0/0 meter each line having four syllables with perfect rhymes whereby no rhyme word is used more than once.

Lie

Lost in the sky
many miles high,
closing each eye,
I dare not cry
hoping to dry
your big bad lie.
