Author's Note

Song version 2 of Hello, Temptation. I wrote 2 versions because I wrote so many verses beforehand and thought I would write two different versions to see which one people enjoyed more. I wrote this certain song because it would be marking my 3 month anniversary of my release from self-harm.

I quickly read through both versions, and I think that I liked this one better. I could feel the music in the lines when I read this one, and I think it has a more lyrical feel to it. You write about torment and the "darker side" of things with such power and strength; emotional and intriguing. I'd love to hear this to music (to see what type you would choose to accompany the lyrics).

Wow, thanks a lot! I really wasn't too confident with this one, but after reading your review I feel much better about it :) Perhaps I will keep both versions and put them along with different music. I just wanted the lyrics to be inspirational and also want the music (if ever put to it) to be like stepping stones of building someone back up from the bad of their past.

I like this version also, but as I have mentioned in version 1, it is my preferred version. The ending of this one is very good though as I can easily visualize you flying without the wings of such a horrible oppressor!
And again, be strong...........there are many ways to deal with pain and writing is one of them! I know as I pour myself out on the pages of my poetry - some very dark ones at times.
