Just Wishing

Just Wishing

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

I wish I was good enough for you.
That I meant as much to you
As the last girl did.
Perhaps even more.
But you never seem to come through.
For once, I wish you could just show up at my door.
With a bouquet of flowers and a gift.
I bet you would pay to see the smile on my face.
Seems like now, you're all just talk.
I can't bring myself to believe you anymore.
My heart aches because I want it to work out,
But I have to put my foot down sometime.
I'm done getting my hopes up
For someone who won't bother showing up.,
You don't understand now,
But maybe you will once I am gone.
