Writing Has...

The thing about writing is that
As soon as the pen hits the page,
All of my feelings fall away.
Making me feel finally okay.
Telling my stories, expressing my thoughts.
I don't feel so crazy.
To know that there are others like me.
I can relate and be exposed to their personal stories.
Just knowing that
Helps lift my heart to the sky.
I could t be more thankful
For the pens way to dissect me.
My thoughts, fears, joys.
My heart and soul.
It is all of me.
Writing truly has all of me.

I especially like "the pens waty to dissect me." That's a great line. I also feel it's such a pleasure to be able to connect with people within our writing. Especially when connections seem so difficult to come by.
