Wearing Scars

Wearing Scars

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

Day to day,
This is how I live.
Wearing scars.
Always,
Wearing my scars.

Sleeves may cover
And stares may stray,
But I still live wearing these scars.
Always,
Wearing my scars.

Nights may come
Which turn into new days, clean slates.
But still I live, wearing these scars.
Always,
Wearing my scars.

No matter what,
I can't take them back.
I can't bother to erase them.
I will always live
Wearing these scars.
Always,
Wearing my scars.
