It Is Time

I have to get my mind right.
I can't be Miss Disappointment anymore.
Enough with these dreary, foggy days.
It is time to look up, look ahead.

Get out of bed,
Shuffle to the mirror.
Enough with being down in the dumps.
It is time to smile at myself.

Clean the house.
Walk the dogs.
Enough with this lack of motivation.
It is time to be productive.

Go to work.
Pass the day.
Enough with being bored and lonely.
It is time for the pen to clear my head.

It is time to look up, look ahead.

Not sure if the last stanza is needed, but I took the risk and put it in. What are your thoughts?

i thought the last stanza was nice. the last stanza sharing the same last line as the one before it was a very nice touch.

Turning yourself around can be a great challenge and we've all had to do it at one point or another. I like how each stanza gathers up behaviors only to slay them with the last line of each, stating clearly that this will be the expectation from now on. The last stanza I like. Is it "needed"? That I can't answer. What I can answer is, does it work for me. Yes definitely. It takes all of the declarations from the other stanzas and reiterates them. Almost as if to chant them, to get them all together in a list and say, "This is what needs to be done." And I think that fits the spirit of the poem very well.
