Maybe Narnia, But Nothing

Maybe Narnia, But Nothing

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

I feel the air around me.
Stale and cold, full of nothing.
No emotions to express.
I can hardly feel my fingers through the chill.
How do I make my way home?
All that surrounds me
is a pure, fresh sheet of white.
I am walking through Narnia.
Just waiting for the White Witch
To glide up in her giant sleigh,
Maybe offer me a Turkish Delight.
But there is no one here.
Just the lone trees with no leaves,
Animals searching for food, a new home.
And me.

Author's Note

I Am Svetlana
I always think of Narnia from "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" whenever I take a look at winter and snow on the ground. This is what inspired this :)

Me too! So I was drawn to this. I think I also use Narnia, in one of my poems, though I cannot recall which one. A lovely chill to this, a sad walk too, through the trees. Thank you!
