Mirror, MirrorA Poem by I Am SvetlanaA reflection, symmetric. A silhouette of me. The shiny glass, Pulling and pinning my image to it. It changes, morphing as I do. Perhaps, I am stuck inside this mirror. Trapped. The glass being a wall. A force field to keep me in. Caged, as the other part of me Walks among the outside world. Each day, I always seem to return To look at, gaze at, and greet the me That lies beyond the glass. I wave, it waves back. I smile, it smiles back. The image, the reflection. The symmetry. A hostage behind the sea of invisible. Inside the mirror, mirror on the wall.
