I dappled and dug

I freed my schedule of

Making room open to talk more

I cleared my mind of
Any nightmares or doubt.
I knew you would accept my
Every flaw.
The main reason I fell in love with you.

I accepted myself
As we began our journey together.
It was smooth going until
We hit shark infested waters.
But soon enough, we were brand new.

All I wanted was you.
Nothing else mattered.
My life was the perfect circle.
I love you and
I would never take those words back.

Absolutely eloquent, very smooth transitioning between each line and stanza, it's seamless in the way that vocally speaking to someone would sound like. I didn't know what kind of emotion would be behind this poem when I read the title, so seeing such a beautiful, bright, optimistic nature in the poem really put a smile on my face.

Definitely my favorite bit; the feelings of seeing oncoming trouble, going through hell and high water, and coming out victorious and free with that special person—you really captured them perfectly here.
